Coming soon to Webster Groves:
a yoga studio for every body.
Here, you can breathe, sweat, feel –
and belong.
Become a founding member and lock in your membership rate for three years.
We’re here to help you breathe deeply, move mindfully, and rest fully.
Our instructors will guide you to increase your flexibility, build your strength and regulate your nervous system through the practice of yoga.
Along the way, we hope you find a sense of belonging within our community and a deeper connection with yourself.
When will Blackbird open?
We are making a few changes to the space in fall 2025, and plan to open in early 2026.
I've never done yoga before, can I take class?
Our classes are open to everyone, and every body - no flexibility or past experience required.
If you're totally new to yoga, you might feel most comfortable in a Fundamentals class. During Fundamentals, our teachers introduce the foundations of yoga practice, focusing on basic postures, alignment, breath awareness, and simple sequences.
What should I know before class?
Arrive early.
The studio doors are locked when class begins, so we recommend getting here a few minutes early to set your things down and put your mat in your favorite spot.
Dress for the class.
For heated classes, you may want to wear tight-fitting clothes like leggings because your clothes will become heavy with sweat. For Restore, you'll want to embrace your comfort - sweatpants and socks welcome.
Mat, towel, water.
Towels are included with unlimited and limited memberships. Water bottles and snacks are available for purchase. You can bring your own mat or rent one from the studio, and if you have a class package, you can rent a towel as well.
How hot is hot yoga?
We tailor the temperature of our heated classes to the season. In winter months, the studio temperature ranges from 95 to 105 degrees. In warmer months, that drops to 90-95 degrees.
Adding heat to your practice can help increase your flexibility, and it can feel really good to sweat it out on the mat. If you feel too hot, take a break in child's pose or in the lobby, and come back when you're ready.
What's the parking situation at Blackbird?
We're in a retail center that shares space with a few other businesses. There are 45 spaces in that lot, and there is some street parking on Big Bend Blvd. as well as a couple of public parking lots a few blocks away.
