Blackbird Yoga was founded in 2025 by Lauren Milford, RYT-200, to bring together skilled, wise, warm instructors in a beautiful space in the delightful Old Orchard neighborhood in Webster Groves.
Many people think of yoga as a workout, but we believe it's so much more than that. Our studio is a space for more than just stretching or fitness - it's for whole body and mind wellness.
You'll feel the difference in our unique vinyasa style classes as you flow to the music, guided by instructors who are passionate and present. In our yin and restore classes, you'll be surprised by how grounded and relaxed you can become. And in our fundamentals classes, we'll break down everything that might be intimidating in a yoga class - a perfect fit for you if you're not sure what a down dog is.
Yoga has so many physical benefits, especially for aging bodies who want to become more flexible, improve their mobility and build strength. But it also has incredible positive effects on our nervous systems, helping us regulate emotions and mood.
Our teachers are here to guide you beyond the 60 minutes of class. They'll welcome you, check in with you, and answer questions you might have. The practice of yoga can be really powerful and impactful, and we wanted to create a space to honor that experience, invite connection, and build community.
