A place to practice, a place to belong
Blackbird Yoga was founded by Lauren Milford, RYT-200, alongside a team of instructors who are passionate about sharing the practice of yoga — on the mat and beyond the studio walls.
If you're looking to deepen your connection to community, nurture your relationship with yourself, and build real strength and mobility — Blackbird is the yoga home you've been searching for.
We offer a range of yoga classes, from high-intensity Dynamic Flow to grounding Flow + Restore. Our teachers show up with presence and authenticity, helping you cultivate awareness and mindfulness every time you practice.
FAQs
I’ve never done yoga before, can I take a class?
1
Our classes are open to everyone, and every body - no flexibility or past experience required.
If you're totally new to yoga or heated yoga, you may want to start with a Slow Flow class. It's warm (not hot), and a bit slower-paced than the Dynamic and Signature Flow classes.
How do I get started?
2
We recommend signing up for the Launch Pass (3 weeks unlimited for $59) to try out different classes and teachers. After that, we have unlimited and monthly memberships as well as class pack options.
What should I know before class?
3
Arrive early.
The studio doors are locked when class begins, so we recommend getting here a few minutes early to set your things down and put your mat in your favorite spot.
Dress for the class.
For heated classes, you may want to wear tight-fitting clothes like leggings because your clothes will become heavy with sweat. For Restore, you'll want to embrace your comfort - sweatpants and socks welcome.
Mat, towel, water.
Towels are included with unlimited and limited memberships. Water bottles and snacks are available for purchase. You can bring your own mat or rent one from the studio, and if you have a class package, you can rent a towel as well.
How hot does it get in the studio?
4
For warm classes, the studio is heated to 80-85 degrees. For hot classes, it’s heated to 95 degrees.
