Studio Policies

Arrival time: Please arrive 10–15 minutes early. Doors will lock at class start time for safety and to preserve class flow.
Late entry: No late entry once class begins. This protects the experience for all students.
Check-in: Students must check in before entering the studio.
Personal belongings: Remove shoes and store items in designated cubbies. Blackbird Yoga is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Reservations: Pre-registration is recommended to secure your spot. Walk-ins are welcome when space allows.
Cancellation window: You may cancel up to 8 hours before class without penalty.
Late cancellations / no-shows: Cancellations within 8 hours or missed classes will result in:
Drop-in / class packages: Loss of the class credit.
Unlimited memberships: A $10 no-show fee.
Workshops & special events: Cancellations allowed 48 hours before start time. No refunds or credits after that period unless the event is canceled by the studio.

Memberships and class packages apply to group classes only: Physical therapy, private yoga and workshops must be purchased separately.
Non-transferable: All memberships and packages are for individual use only.
Expiration dates: Class packages have expiration dates listed at purchase; extensions may be granted for medical reasons.
Auto-renew memberships: Renew monthly on the purchase date. Requires 7-day written or emailed notice to pause or cancel.
Pausing memberships: Unlimited memberships may be paused once per 12-month period for a minimum of 1 month and maximum of 2 months.

To make a change to your membership, complete the Membership Change Form.

Hydration: Hot yoga participants must arrive well-hydrated. You can bring a water bottle and towel. We provide sweat towels for members, and water bottles are available for purchase.
Medical concerns: Students with medical conditions should consult their doctor before practicing and notify instructors of any concerns.
Illness: If you feel unwell, please stay home. Staff may ask visibly ill students to reschedule.
Mats & props: Students are encouraged to bring their own mats. Studio props must be cleaned after use.

Inclusive space: Blackbird Yoga welcomes all bodies, backgrounds, and experience levels.
Kindness & respect: We expect teachers, staff, and students to treat one another with respect at all times.
Technology: Cell phones must be silenced and stored away during class unless approved for emergency needs. If you must wear a smart watch, place it on Do Not Disturb mode.

Communication: Weather-related closures will be posted on the website, schedule app, and social media.
Auto-refunds: Students will receive class credit or refund if the studio cancels a session.

Studio images: Blackbird Yoga may capture photos or short videos of classes for marketing purposes.
Opt-out: Students may request not to be photographed or recorded and their preferences will be honored.
Personal recording: Recording instructors or classes is not permitted without written permission.

Agreement: Participation implies acceptance of the studio’s liability waiver and acknowledgment of inherent risks.
Updates: Blackbird Yoga reserves the right to update policies at any time.

Left items: Items left behind will be held for 7 days.
Unclaimed items: After 7 days, items may be donated or discarded.
